Wedding Exhibit Open

Included in the exhibit: Regid Heddles, on loan from Joan and David Floren; Basket, cloth and band, and ale bowls on loan from Vesterheim National Norwegian-American Museum, Decorah, Iowa; scrutching knife, on loan from the American Swedish Institute, Minneapolis.

Exhibit on courtship and wedding traditions at Dassel History Center

The exhibit, Loves Labor: The Traditions of Courtship and Weddings is open at the Dassel History Center, 901 Frist St. N. Included in the exhibit are items on loan  are wedding clothing, photographs and items that the DAHS has in its collection as well as pieces that other area residents have loaned the DAHS for the exhibit.

Loves Labor: The Traditions of Courtship and Weddings will be at the History Center through Labor Day, 2017.





City Council Meeting -August 21, 2017 7:00 p.m.

The next Dassel City Council Meeting will be held on August 21, 2017,  7:00 p.m. at Dassel City Hall.


Farmer’s Market Open

The Dassel Farmer’s Market is open every Friday in the Bandstand Park from 2:30-5:30. Stop on out for some terrific, locally grown and fresh food!


Spring cleaning within the city limits will take place Saturday, May 20th from 9:00am – 5:00pm. Please place all miscellaneous garbage curbside. Waste Management will pick up throughout the day. If you have appliances, computer monitors, T.V.’s, tires, etc. please hand deliver to the Dassel Liquors parking lot. Click Here for more details.
