 CITY ADMINISTRATOR

The City of Dassel is accepting applications for a forward-thinking leader who excels in economic development to step into the role of City Administrator.  This is a new position and offers exciting possibilities for professional growth.  Opportunities include capital improvement planning and implementation, housing and commercial development, and long-range strategic community planning.

This is a full-time salaried position with excellent benefits. The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate strong leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, strong computer skills, be an excellent communicator and the ability to establish working relationships both internal and external. 

Minimum qualifications:

  • At least three years in government administrative, Municipal Clerk’s Certificate and community growth management.
  • Strong working knowledge of city management, municipal laws, regulations, ordinances and established procedures, financial and administrative services operations; including all phases of the budgeting process.

Preferred qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or a related field and two years progressively responsible leadership experience.  
    Salary is negotiable DOQ.
