Administrative Assistant/Utility Billing Clerk

The City of Dassel is accepting applications for a Part-Time Administrative Assistant/Utility Billing Clerk.

This position is under the direct supervision of the City Administrator, the Administrative Assistant/Utility Billing Clerk is responsible for greeting the public in person or on the telephone, directing visitors, answering questions and handling permitting within the city.  This position is responsible for the tracking and issuance of building permits. This position is responsible for general office procedures. The Administrative Assistant/Utility Billing Clerk is responsible for the daily balancing, process of receipts and banking deposits.  This position is responsible for calculation and billing of the city utilities. This position is responsible for processing of accounts payable. This position acts as an assistant to all departments.

Minimum job requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred, administrative clerical experience, and ability to complete a criminal background check. Experience with Microsoft products. The wage for the position is $21.50 per hour for 30 hours per week. Benefits include Earned Sick & Safe Time, and PERA.
