NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

on

APPROVAL OF PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT

OTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Dassel, Minnesota, will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 7:00 p.m., at the Dassel City Hall in the City of Dassel, Minnesota, relating to the use of property tax abatement for the purpose of funding development costs for the improvements to a building owned by Tiercel Properties, LLC and occupied by Falcon Mechanical, Inc., pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.1812 to 469.1815, inclusive, as amended.  The annual amount of City tax abatement assistance shall not exceed $2,000.00 per year and will be provided over a period of up to 5 years.  The following tax parcels are proposed to be included in the proposed tax abatement:

Parcel Identification Numbers: 23-0243000, 23-0249000, 23-0174000

Copies of the Abatement Resolution as proposed to be adopted will be on file and available for public inspection at the office of the City Clerk/Treasurer at Dassel City Hall.

The public hearing will also be for the purpose of accepting public comment on the proposed business subsidy pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 116J.993 through 116J.995, inclusive, as amended.  A person with residence in, or the owner of taxable property in the City of Dassel may file a written complaint with the City, if the City fails to comply with sections 116J.993 to 116J.995 of Minnesota Statutes, and no action may be filed against the City for the failure to comply unless a written complaint is filed.

All interested persons may appear at the hearings and present their view orally or in writing.
